Anyone know of some good quality, yet cost-effective hood pins? My hood latch cable broke and I was thinking of just disabling/removing the latch and attaching some hood pins instead, to hold the hood in place, as I figured that would be cheaper than having the cable repaired.

Any thoughts on the hood pins would be appreciated.....as well as thoughts on whether I would encounter any problems going this route.

Note, my car is a DD and sees all-seasons, in case that matters on hood pin suggestions.

 

I bought a set of ford racing ones from summit. I didn't use them, but I sold them to my buddy & he used them on his 01 Cobra. I think he had that for right @ 2 years? I've heard of some rusting up, these never did! He they are:

$30. I know you said cost-effective, just be careful! You still want to get good parts. I took the cheaper route twice. Had to replace both parts! See ya!!
