Sounds sick!! Make sure to get the proper shocks and struts or its going to be one bumpy ride!! My frrp c springs over power my tokico hp's (less than 5k miles) and the ride is a bit bouncy..

My car is already a bit of a bumpy ride as it is, so I just expect it to be worse, but once I get the CTD swap done on the Ramcharger, thats going to take over the DD duties.

I think Im going to get a set of bilsteins, that way when I get coil-overs I can get them rebuilt for fairly cheap.

Mm makes a coilover kit that just goes over them.... but I definitely would like bilsteins.

Thats the plan. I just cant afford the cost of coilovers. I want to get the motor swap done this winter and thats gonna take alot. I going for coilovers next year, I just want something to get me by.

Truth be told, I wasn't to sure about them. Spent countless hours looking at wheels and couldn't find anything I really liked and I wanted something not to many people had, so I took the jump and couldn't be happier.

Im thinking this weekend about lowering the 95. I have set of ford progressive rate springs and some kyb's that I bought for my foxbody hatch. Now that Im probably going to be driving that alot more with my messed up knee, I want a little bit stiffer of a ride then what I get now. Pics to come after its done

Started hearing a squeaking sound coming from my rear today . It only happens on accel and deccel (but not braking) which leads my to believe its the rear. Gonna drain the fluid tomorrow and see what comes out.

Ive been thinking for a while that the posi has gone bad so a rebuild is in the future.

However, do I have to put a posi additive in with the fluid, and if so, which one?

You use friction modifier. Should be able to get it from any auto store. Not sure which kind though... or If there is even more than knew kind.

Well, the good news is the rear isn't bad. There were a few little shavings on the filler plug, but everything else inside the rear looked good.

I also changed out my shocks/struts this morning. I've had the same ones for going on 6 years now and they were really really bad. I put the same brand KYB but used fox length ones. The ride is soooo much better.

Its pretty awesome. I had lost some confidence in driving the way I drive the car, but putting new shocks on makes everything ok. Car feels much more controlled then before

Its a great feeling. Mines been lowered with the kybs for about 6 years, and I could never go back.

I cant wait til I get my torque arm and panhard bar installed. That wont be till next month probably but Im excited to get it done and have the car feel like a new machine.

Well last week I had to change out my rear springs. I had a set of FRPP springs that I got for my fox and had planned on putting on my Vert however after putting new shock on the car, the rear fenderwells started rubbing on the tires ( they tore into them pretty good too) So I swapped out the rears.

I would take a pic, but IMO it looks like crap with the frpp's in the rear and sportlines up front. But I dont have a springs compressor to change the fronts

I cant wait to get new springs.

Ah. Got that raked look now. That's weird, my frpp springs slide in and out of the front no problem.

So I have a new plan for this winter for the 99. Next year it will basically be a off the road and only driven to my races, that is if I dont have a trailor.

The plan is:
1. Rebuilt 3.8 longblock with windstar upper and ported lower intakes, longtube header, new h-pipe, keep current mufflers.
2. H&R Race springs
3. Tokico Blue Shocks and Struts
4. Custom front splitter and spoiler made from ABS plastic
5. Torque Arm and Panhard Bar installed.

Id get a little better shocks and struts, maybe konis or bilsteins. My buddy has the race springs with the tokico blues and it rides fine and all, but the tokicos are entry level shocks and struts.

Oh and if your gonna track the car and not do coilovers, check these out. http://www.stangsuspension.com/H-R-S...ngs-p/1379.htm
