Well I've been around long enough and its about time I made a build thread for my Mustangs. The 99 is going to be going through some major renovations over the next year or so and this thread will be used to cronical all of that. I'm including the 95 in here as well because I will be doing very little to it and don't need to have a seperate thread for it.

The plans for the 99 are to build a competitive ESP car in SCCA Autocross and still use it as basically a DD. I've had the car for 8 years and truth be told, I have beat the **** out of it and will probably continue, but I want to basically restore it to its former glory. Here's the list basically in the order everything will be done.

SC Style Wheels- ordered
Griggs Racing Super Street suspension Kit
HO Fibertrend 2000 Cobra R Hood
99-00 Cobra Front Bumper
V6 replacement rear Bumper
PAINT!
03-04 Stock Cobra motor with Teskid Block
T-56

Here are the two as they currently sit with the exception of a Mach Chin Spoiler being back on the 99.

Talked to John Griggs today. He said the torque arms are being made as we speak and still need to be powdercoated so its going to be another week or two before I get them

As long as I get it on by the 31st for my first autocross Ill still be happy. But I really wish I already had it now.

On a side note, I hoping to get a sheet of black 1/4" ABS plastic within the next week or so and start construction of a front splitter and rear spoiler. The rear spoiler I'm thinking is going to be about 4-6" tall (class rules allow up to 10" but thats too much for me). I would like to find a way to keep the chin spoiler on the front, much like the miaer racing piece, just not as big. It will probably look something like this just not as a wide body.

Torque arm and panhard bar have shipped and are scheduled to be here next Wednesday. Now just got to find time to put them on

I'm starting a cummins swap on my ramcharger so that's been taking a lot of my work on vehicles time.

Well, after some thinking and driving the car alot more these past few weeks, I've decided that a change in springs and shocks are in order. I want to go coilovers but I just dont think Im going to be able to get them anytime soon. I just want to get a few opinions from yall.

I want to go with an 800-1100lb spring rate for the front and probably 450-550 rear. Shocks will more then likely be tokico or bilstiens (if only I could afford Koni's right now too )

Anyway, the torque arm and panhard bar I hope to get installed within the next month or so and then these are next on my list. What do yall think?

I haven't seen this thread. Your plans for your 99 are almost exactly the same as mine for my 00. Even down to the Cobra bumper and Maier Racing bits. They've done some suspension work for me and I will only go to them for that stuff. They're just a few exits down the road from me too! Good luck. I'm hoping to start work on my 00 this summer. We've had it since new also. I'm probably going to go with a nice reliable, but higher compression 4.6 4v build. T56, built IRS etc. I'm going for more of a weekend driver though. Full suede interior, high end SQ audio system, custom glass roof...

They will be custom. MM and Griggs both do custom springs. Basically is would be the same as say a 450-500lb coilover

I like the plan you have. Sounds like it will be pretty awesome when done
