Starting problem

I went to go start the cobra this morning and take it to school because the road have been good up here in Minnesota lately. I got in put the key in and turned it to start and nothing happened. Only the radio and other stuff came on but it did not crank or even try to crank. I pulled the key out and the radio and stuff was still on running without the key in. What could be my problem? I just drove the car last night and it was perfectly fine.

Pull the battery loose and reconnect? Still doing the same thing?

Sounds like a possible ignition switch failure

I had to disconnect the battery to make it turn off cause the key wouldn't turn it off. I never reconnected it cause I was running late for school. If an ignition failure how much we looking at for it getting fixed. And is it a diy project?

Its not that bad. I can talk you through it and send you diagrams. You just have to find out if its the cylinder or the switch.
