Ive always used Pioneer. IMHO they are a great bang for the buck. Combined with a good head unit.

Infinity makes GREAT speakers, but are a little on the expensive side. However, check out crutchfield, as they usually have a buy one, get one 1/2 off sale on infinity. JBL is also made by the same company that makes infinity (made by Harman-kardon), so they are also good quality, and cheaper than infinity.

I would stay away from Sony...they are great for in-home electronics, but I have heard bad things about their car products (especially speakers).

Either way, I would suggest buying from crutchfield. They usually have free shipping, free harness, free install sheets specific to your vehicle (these are golden for figuring out how to remove the interior pieces), and great customer support. I absolutely LOVE them. They do anything possible to make you happy.
