Thanks!

What kind of a difference would 3.27 gears make from the stock 3.55?

It's odd that he changed them

Maybe to keep it quieter for cruising? Mileage? Or maybe he felt it had enough power and this allowed him to finish the quarter mile with one less shift?

(Like on 08 Bullitt they increased redline on the 4.6L to 6500 to allow you to finish the quarter in 3rd with 3.73's)

Why did he put it 3.27 gears? Very unusual. Acceleration will be slower.

Would weather be a factor here? Snow for example. I've never heard of ANYONE changing to a lower end gear like that.

Nope. I guess I could message him and ask him why he decided to get 3.27 gears

No point in messaging him. Just get some 373's in there and enjoy that car man.

With 3.55s Machs usually run through traps in 3rd, so 3.27s wouldn't change that.

Would 3.27's improve gas mileage from 3.55's? I haven't read up much on gear ratios.

I suppose as 5th gear is .62, but results wouldn't be that great. (First gear is 3.27 by the way if memory serves.)

I'm taking the car back to the dealership tomorrow to get the stock headlight bulbs put in. For some reason he put HID lights in that don't even have a high-beam setting.

They're going to inspect it too. I'm not sure how it's going to pass with an O/R midpipe. You have to have cats in NC to pass.

I've got a feeling the dealership will pass it since they're the ones who sold it to me.

But do you want to deal with it every time you have to get it inspected? I'd make them make it legal. Can they even sell you a car that can't pass inspection...probably not.
