Short Throw Shifter - MGW

Just wondering what the feedback is on the MGW LTD Short-throw shifter for the 95 Mustang (MU T5/T-45) model.

I had the MGW in my 05 GT and loved it - just wanted to see what the thought is on the older model cars.

Also, if you have it how was the installation?

Thanks!

Jeff, I haven't added one to my car yet, but had looked at it several times prior to picking up my '08 and from what I remember, the install was actually much easier on the SN95's than it is on the S197's. ....and like the S197's, all of the feedback I had heard was positive about the MGW.

do you have a link to that?

I'm buying a new edge stang within the next year, and that's going to be one of my first mods

I am hoping the install in the SN95 is easier then the S197. That was a royal PIA (my arm does not bend that way with the driveshaft there!).

I am 99% sure that I will do MGW, but figured I would ask before I pulled the trigger.

Its one of those mods that they cannot tell when you show the car - hidden.

To install, all you do is take off the shift ****. Pull off the boot. 4 bolts to take the old shifter off, place the new one on, 4 bolts to tighten it on. Set the stops. Put the boot back on, and put the **** on.

From what I've heard the MGW is the best on the market. There are die-hards for every brand, but overall I have never heard anything bad about them, and numerous accounts of other brands being notchy, or actually breaking (namely Steeda having the ball snap off on a few occasions).

Referring to switching from a Hurst short throw shifter to the MGW.

"I love the way this shifter is smooth... Like, greased pig with balkl bearing on a slip-and-slide lubed with KY type smooth."

Thought you guys might want to see that.
