Selling my 01 GT..need some opinions...
I have a 13 GT on order, and I am going to sell my 01 GT. I have looked on sites like kellybluebook, and edumunds, but those prices do not reflect what I am seeing in autotrader or cars.com.
It is a Red GT Premium Coupe, no mods ever other than replaced factory exhaust with stainless steel exhaust and replaced MACH 460 head unit with Kenwood unit that has audio input jack for ipod. 68,XXX miles. Clean condition....
I was thinking about $9000.00 To high? To low? What are these cars selling for in your area?

I live in KC MO too, and I'm not sure how good a market KC is for Mustangs. As one example, Northtowne Mitsubishi has had a '11 premium GT for sale for just under 30K since August and still hasn't sold it.
Edmunds True Market Value is the best measurement I've seen, and they are saying around 5K for your car being sold as a private party. N.A.D.A says about 9K but that's at dealer retail which you can't sell at and get someone to buy, more than likely. And Kelley Blue Book has it between 7 and 9 depending on condition.
If I was you, I'd pay the $200 or so to have it professionally detailed inside & out, take some really good pictures and start it at 8K. List it on cars.com, autotrader.com, in the KC Star, on here, Craigslist, etc. If it's in good shape, you should be able to get at least 7 out of it, I would think. Remember though, it is now a 12 year old car (since 2013 Mustangs are on the street) so I wouldn't expect too much out of it, especially with gas prices the way they are right now.

I was worried about that...but my 2008 GT/CS stickered for around $30...my '13 is $39...with the prices of these cars only going up, I am hoping it brings the secondary used market up with it.....
Seems like market varies alot for mustangs. In florida i could pick them up pretty cheap. I move to iowa at the end of last summer and they were selling for high dollar here. Then over the winter i watched the prices go way down on them. It also seems like the 03/04 gts are holding value much bettet than the 99-02 even being the same car.
I am not a member...thought about it...but I just go to cruises when I get the chance. Being a KC guy, there is a cruise every Saturday from April to October somewhere in the KC area....
I think I have the only 13 red GT/CS in the area for now, so I won't be too hard to spot! Hope to see you around.
