Unhappy Sad sad times.

Been a while since I was last here, good to see old and new faces.

Today was a sad sad day. The Mustang is now officially away for the winter. Back to the Escort for many months to come.

Oil change, waxed, and detailed and covered for 5 months.

I need to tinker so please suggest what mods to do next. People are asking what I want for christmas. .

Please look at my sig to see current mods.

My Stang is a year rounder....I couldn't imagine having to put her away for the winter! Usually when it snows, I'll take the Taurus though...

What kind of budget are you working with for mods?

I am only a couple of miles from lake ontario so I end up with the lake effect, so it snows often and hard. Drove last winter (Jan onwards) and hated every day.

No idea on the budget for mods, they just want a wish list.

We're moving to a new house in a couple of months and I'm going to get something else as my daily driver. The bad news is I won't be driving the stang everyday but the good news is I can do a lot more to it since streetability won't be at the forefront any longer.

Go with the springs. Just got a set of pro kits myself. They are sitting in my trunk with my Steeda pullies and new brake pads waiting to be installed.

just outta curiousity why did you change the oil?.. usually you;d leave the old oil in since you have to change it when you take it out in the spring.. seems like a waste of money/oil for it just to sit in the oil pan for months.

It was long overdue a change. Did 5000 hard miles since last oil change. Every time I thought "I'll park it tonight" I woke in the morning with a different mind set.

Its times like this that im glad I live in Miami and not back in New York, I've become so attached to my Mustang, and the breezy winter weather down here makes it a blast to drive.

As for mods, get some hood pins!

I could have driving it for all this time. The weather warmed up and been a little rainy but not near freezing.
Will wait till later next year before surrendering plates.

I know how you feel, I had mine out today, real dry and calm. That could all change overnight, I am in NW Ohio. Thanksgiving week is usually my week to surrender the keys until spring....

I'm sure you will have fun sideways in the snow in your beater.

Oh you know it! Got the handbrake tuned to perfection. Lost it at around 60mph on ice last year on the freeway, complete 360 spin and ended the right way round, in the right lane right at the line as the lights turned red. Scared the life out of me but it was AWESOME. All the time I've spent over the years playing on the ice payed off. People pulled up either side of me and gave me the nods and thumbs.
Give me snow and handbrake any day, just miss my stang.
