Are the rims worth it?
Someone in my area is selling 2 stock 17X8 03 Anthracite Bullitts.
He wants a little less than $230(with tires), my plan is using the 17X8s up front and buying 17X10.5s in the rear. He's runnin the same combo on his Stang, and the color matches up well.
I looked on www.mustangtuning.com I can get 17X9 Anthracite Bullitts for $260.
My question is: whether I would be better off in the long run with the used 17X8s or new 17X9s. I'm asking about overall: performance, handling, rubbing issues, and tire cost. Right now my ugly 00 5 spoke silvers(17X8s) have 245 width.
I'm guessing with a 17X9 I'll possibly need to move upto a 275 width.

I'd say go with the used ones just because they have tires already and you can use your stock tires if they are bald, and the 17X8 with the 17x10.5 might look better than the 17X9 with the 17X10.5...it should look good either way though.

I'd get the newer ones b/c you don't know how he drove on them...
I'm looking into getting wheels and tires myself, but don't know if I should go FR500, Bullit, or Cobra style... I'm going to do 18x9 and 18x10 with 255 in the front and either 275 or 285 in the back.
I've seen that setup on a 99 gt and it looks sweet...

Seeing as how you have a white car, you should consider black rims. Also why 18's?

Is that Roque's car?
Nah, It's some "chicks" in Texas.
I still don't like black rims all that much... if you like it, fine, to each his/her own...
I loved Anthracite wheels with the chrome around the rim... It looks soooo nice on my car...
