Rims rims rims rims

alrighty...

what do yall think of 17x8 (245/45/170) up front, and 17x10.5 (315/35/17) in the rear.

Im in need of new tires in the rear, the front are still good... so i figured if i could get the package deal on the back that am offers ( http://www.americanmuscle.com/anthra...-set-9904.html ) and two seperate 17x8's ( http://www.americanmuscle.com/anthra...17x8-9498.html ) and reuse the front tires, maybe i could save a little money.. Would this be a good idea? would it effect the handling? Would it look odd?

I am on a high school budget.. And yes i have checked through craigslist...

I had to the same set up on my 02 and it looked really good. I already had the 17x8's as stock but bought 2 17x10's from AM for the back. I probably have a pic saved on my old laptop, I'll try and find it and post it up for you.

If you have all rims and just want that wide look just get wheel spacer from AM and you still do tire rotation

I do not have the rims, wheel spacers won't work in factory wheels.

Spacers are gay anyway.

I think I will look good but 275s in the front will look and handle better. The problem with sever staggered setups like that is the car will be more likely to under-steer then if the profiles were closer together. i ran 235s on the front with 275s and it didn't look bad but it did look small and I could feel the car want to under-steer and ran into that problem a lot during Autocross's. Cant deny saving some money but that's just been experiences.

Wheel spacers are a neat idea. When it comes down to it I would NEVER put a spacer on the wheels unless it was a bolt on... Definitely no slip on's. It will take the amount of thread off your bolt and they have a high risk of making your wheel come off. And even if it was a bolt on I wouldn't put it on anything with any decent amount of power. And for sure not a mustang. Maybe a little civic with no power. But if you want to do it right and not have to worry about having a wheel or two come off while driving.... Get the rims!

Exactly. Just get the rims. And when you look at the car from behind with spacers you can tell the wheels are kicked out without a aggressive stance. (obviously).
