Resurrection of the GT..... Again
Gonna start Stage 2 this week. I'm transferring my old motor from a engine stand I borrowed from work to my own and gonna start breaking it down to a bare block. From there, since there's hardly any miles on it, I'll make an assesment as to if it needs machining. IIRC, there is some grinding of the inside of the block involved to make room for the stroker kit.
Oh yeah, from the looks of it I'll be going with ModMax's stroker kit

valve covers are not leaking anymore. Rear main is though, so still going to Mustang shop since my work won't let me do a rear main lol.
oh yeah, for your listening pleasure, here she is trying to relearn her idle after I cleared the KAM

so I ran some dye in her and located the leak. Thankfully, it's not the rear main. It's a combo of 2 things. 1) the dipstick was popping out of the boss on the block. I rebent the tube and it seats correctly. 2) there's a seep coming from the oil pan gasket. That will be taken care when I do a future suspension mod (use your imagination
)
now that the car is running, the exterior resto will be beginning. The current Cobra bumper on the front is trashed beyond repair so I bought a stock GT for $40 off Cragslist. Might have a new hood in the cards as well.
