sooo my work sucks. They shot down the idea of me doing my clutch work there. If I want to use a lift, I have to pay. Seriously.

so guess how I get to break in the driveway here in Santa Clara

Are you going to need to drop the long tubes to get to it, or are they out of the way enough that you just need to take the midpipe out?

ok, so here's the latest: intially I towed the **** thing to my work to do the TB, the fork and pivot stud. I started tearing her down friday after hours but my service manager stopped me and said I wasn't allowed to work on my car there unless I paid the dealership full shop labor rate to rent my lift. So I slapped some of the parts back on to make her mobile, and had her towed to my friend's shop in San Jose where he's gonna tackle this problem for me. Normally he would let me use his lift, but I have family arriving in town today from Texas and my spare time will be with them. Plus, the family needs to borrow my truck to do tourist stuff so the GT needs to be done ASAP. Since the clutch and everything is fine, we're gonna try to slide teh trans back enough to disengage the input shaft from the engine if the headers will let us.

Food for Thought: there's a guy on Stangnet who just put down 341rwhp and 307rwtq with his 2002 GT. Mods: TF heads and intake, Comp 270's, full exhaust.

GT is coming home tomorrow. New throwout bearing, new pivot stud, new rear main seal. Up next on the plate, new rear brakes and new front control arms

Just Ford stuff on the front control arms, or are you going coilovers and tubulars?

Cool cool. I have to do that swap pretty soon. My ball joints (both sides...) are popping like a bag of Redenbacher.

Mine too...

I have the MM Bilsteins just waiting for coilovers, but no money for the CAs, CC plates and the rest of the rear components.

the tainted b*tch is back! Gonna drive her to work today, I gotta zip-tie the O2 harness again. Then I'll probably park her for a few days next week so I can take care of the rear brakes.
