it started, and OMFG it sounds sooooo f***ing mean!!! The tune is way off, she holds an idle for a bit and starts to die, but stays idling for the most part. I have an oil leak issue around the valve cover/front cover/block area. I'll pinpoint what and where exactly after I move the P/S pump and oil filter. If it weren't for the leak, I'd be driving it

So you're going to help me drop a Mark 8 engine in my car, right?

only issues were the 2nd oil leak which would drop every now and then on the header and the tune being off. Oh yeah, and an annoying exhaust leak that I cured today at work.

the 2nd oil leak was coming from a NPT plug that Trick Flow has you use to plug off a non-used oil source hole for the chain tensioners. There's tensioner mounting pads on both sides of each head since 4.6 heads are universal. I guess there wasn't enough thread sealant on the plug so I filled the recessed hole with RTV.

There's some minor idle quality and part throttle issues which I sure the tune will take care of.

Congrats on getting the car done and running again. I am sure everything was well worth it.

probably not enough sealant on the threads of the plug. I'm gonna pull it at work tomorrow

pulled the plug, recoated the seals and tightened it back up = no more oil leak

I really need to get a tune..... March 6th is my date. There is so much pull in the mid range that is making *****-footing a huge tease
