Wait, what? Motor is dead dead, or just out of commission because of the pump?
dead dead
broken oil pump gear = no oil pressure = fried bearings and a rod knock
I'm picking up a stock shortblock from a friend on tuesday. I have "bigger" plans for the paperweight that's in the car now

You're lucky you know how to do this stuff man. If you were having a shop do it all you would have a lot of bills to be paid...
Although going in to work 2 hours before my shift start and staying late 2 hours to work on this **** thing is really begining to suck.
well, today we start the update with a picture:

and a quote: "it's all apart of the plan....."
update:
- after battling food poisoning all week, I finally made it to AED today and got the Mustang's pacemaker. A stock, Windsor shortblock. Low mileage and a working stock oil pump
- while there at AED, I chewed the fat a bit with Drew and made a decision on something: I want a 5.0. Not a Coyote. Not a Fox or a SN95. It's stroker time! Life hands lemons, what do you do? You throw them back and ask for limes for your beer. Or make lemonade.
The Plan, Stage 1: pull the wounded motor, swap the top end over to the pacemaker, enjoy it while I recover finacial through the summer
The Plan, Stage 2: wounded motor to the engine stand and becomes my Frankenstein project of an azz-whopping, nitrous inhaling, cammed up, stroked out, Trick-Flow headed, Coyote-stomping beast
Ohhhhhhh, I love a good plan.
