Rare find?

My brother-in-law happened to be thumbing through a magazine something like Auto Trader and found an ad for a 2001 Bullit Mustang. He lives in the Seattle area. He went down to the sales lot (not a Ford dealer) and they really did not know what they had. So he bought it for about $16,500. It is the green color and he loves it! He is a big fan of the movie and he can't believe he found by chance a Bullit car. They only made about 5582 I think so I'm sure they are very hard to find and are very "collectible". What are your thoughts on that and the car in general. I love my 05 GT and I was glad he joined our Mustang "club".

The DHG 2001 Bullitt is one of my favorite Mustangs of all time. I wish I had the cash to turn one into a project car. Post pix!

He lives in Seattle and I live in Phoenix. He has not sent me any pics yet. But you would think that would be a great Mustang to own!

Good catch for your brother-in-law. Does he know what number it is? You are right, they made 5,582 in about 6 months span. 3041 made in DHG, 1818 in ebony, and 723 in true blue. Only options were color and the MACH 460 stereo system.

It is definately a great buy. Many think it was just a sticker and tape sytle package, but it is alot more and has alot of extra parts that add up to a great car! In case you couldn't tell I'm a little bias.

ALSO - Make sure he registers his car at IMBOC.com (International Mustang Bullitt Owners Club) They are compiling a list for the cars and owners, it's also a great resource for Bullitt specific questions.
