Putting V8 lowering springs on a V6
Putting V8 lowering springs on a V6
Looking for anyone who might have had this idea before. I have aquired a 2000 V6 roush. It has the stock V6 springs. With the roush body package it really does not need to be lowered all that much, maybe .5" just to close the wheel gap, but the stock V6 springs are just way too soft and "rolly".
All the springs I see for the V6 lower the front end 1.25-2", which is way too low with the Roush front lip. So I was thinking that maybe using aftermarket V8 springs would do a minimal drop but provide the firmer ride I am looking for.
Is this just nuts or does it make some matter of sense?

my worry with the GT springs would be that potentially they could make the car sit higher.

I'd go with a set of Bullitt or Mach springs, they supposedly only lower new edge's .5-.75 inches, so not a drastic drop, and fairly stiff springs in comparison to the stock ones.
