and so begins my time without the Mach. She was dropped off today at the body shop. Originally my fellow club member said I would have it back on March 10th but the damage from the brake fluid made it past the primer to the surface so they'll need an extra week. The body will be taken down to metal, repaired, primered and painted.

Hope it all goes well. CO is one of the best colors out there. Hope they fix it to your satisfaction.

Holly sheet, your car will look so nice when it's complete. I also hope it turns out well.

Thanks! Hey, any way you can send me some hood shots of your car? I'm doing that design and the body shop wants to see what I'm talking about

huh. I never knew thats what the A and C pillars looked like without the covers on.

Best of luck getting and can't wait to see it all done. Especially if more and more people keep stealing Jason's hood paint

she spent all day today getting media blasted with with baking soda per PPG's recommendation since it was determined that it was battery acid and not brake fluid. I got a copy of an updated estimate, the total is now just under $7k

USAA didn't approve the media blasting til today. She was loaded up this afternoon and headed down the street for soda blasting. The shop said 1 day turn around for that so hopefully some paint on the car this week. I'm just crossing fingers to have her back by the Brother's Performance car show

While it's in the shop, you should have the roof painted gloss black and have all the striping, and rear decklid painted on!

Hood is being done Evil Capri style. Decklid is getting the CDC Honeycomb. I'm trying desperately to find a '99/01 Cobra front bumper

I have one, but it's on my car and you can't have it

They pop up on SVTP from time to time. Also try MPS Auto Salvage.

Media blasting was delayed til this week as the shop had to order a finer grade soda to blast my car with. He finished up yesterday but it was a typical Florida day, rainy, so the car couldn't be moved. She's being moved to the body shop today and going straight inside for primer. I'll have a pic update later today

The media blaster is dragging so much ***. He lied to the shop saying it was done when it wasn't even touched til last night. He's finally blasting it today and it'll be back at the body shop this afternoon. They'll get it in primer this afternoon before closing up and color will be next week.

wearing the factory Comp Orange for the last time

saw my Mach for the 1st time in a month on friday. She was fresh off the trailer from media blasting. The blasting took it down to the factory e-coating. The body color border was to prevent the jambs from being stripped since I'm staying Comp Orange. I knew the driver fender was replaced before, the media blasting just confirmed it. An unfortunate casualty of the process was the rear bumper. The MUSTANG lettering is all pitted so a new one is inbound from Ford. More pics from friday afternoon

This morning they masked off the car, got rid of the border and e-coating done to the bare metal. Sealer went on and so did the 1st layer of primer

Nice! Have them add some pearl to the top coat for that extra special custom touch
