Hey guys, I have an 2003 silver V6 mustang and I need some advice. I saw a really nice 1999 cobra front bumper with fog-lights in craigslist for cheap and I want to pick it up for my car and I was wondering if it would fit. I assumed as such since they are the same body style but my auto body guy said otherwise. He told me that 1999-2000 were the same and 2001-2004 were different. I can see no change and I was wondering if you guys could shed some light on the matter? Much appreciated

 

Based on a few parts sites the 00 to 04 base V6 all had the same bumper covers.

edit: Nevermind I mis read your question.

But I am pretty sure it would still fit, it is a popular swap. Did you ask what the difference was to make it not fit?

 

No, my Dad talked to the guy as he has gone there quite a bit and gets good deals because he is a regular (my sister is a terrible driver haha!) I thought it would work as well because all body kits say 99-04 :S Maybe he was confused because the earlier cobra nose is different than the 03-04? And are you sure that I could fit the bumper cover over the stock v6 bumper, and what kind of wiring harness would I require? Thanks for the help!

 

Where do you live? I want to beat you to that front end lol! The 99-01 front is SO hard to find these days...
