Anyone have any experience or suggestions for some pedal upgrades that won't cost too terribly much. I have a '99 that I like to spend a little bit on here and there to hold me over until I can buy my '06. I don't want to spend a lot, but also don't want to buy something that will look cheesy or not work well. Any thoughts?

Not too terribly bad, my accelerator pedal was the most difficult, the pin that hold it in got stuck
which made it take the most time of the four. I've read on here where others have installed them and not had the same issue I did with the accelerator so mine may have been an isolated case. I really like how they look and feel and really dress up the interior. Don't know for sure but since they are factory it might even help resale value a bit...don't know for sure though.

If you get the IUP Pedals try and get the ones where the accelerator and dead pedals are already on the brackets. It makes assembly tons easier. the dead and accelerator just bolt on. Kar Kraft has them for 89.95 for the 5 speed and Auto both premounted on the brackets. It also makes going back to the factory pedals easier as well if you want to.

What makes it easier....or maybe I should say, how much easier, since it's a $30 difference? Appreciate the help all.

I've been thinking of getting some pedals that would make it easier to heel-and-toe. The IUP pedals look nice, but appear to be completely cosmetic. Anyone have any suggestions?

Instead of having to unbolt the accelerator then try and drive the pin out of the pedal and bracket on the accelerator all you have to do is unbolt the old assembly and bolt the new one in its place. The same goes for the dead pedal as well. You should be able to find them cheaper else where. I just replaced the brake and clutch pedals. I got them from John Bleakley Ford for $18 each. Just check around. Ask Kevin clevparts@aol.com he should be able to get you a good deal.

UnBolt the two bolts holding the assembly on disconnect the cable[attachmentid=37567]
If you buy the pedal only this pin must be removed to change the pedal then replaced for the new pedal[attachmentid=37571]
Unbolt the two bolts holding the bracket on plus remove the wiring harness connector[attachmentid=37570]
These two clips must be squeezed to remove the dead pedal if the pedal only is purchased then the new pedal pressed in place[attachmentid=37569]
