Overhaul

Hi, I'm new on here but I just bought a 94 gt. I'm looking to start modding it and need ideas. The previous owner didn't take very good care of it and do you guys have any suggestions on cleaning the engine n bay, it's filthy and I'm not sure where to start!!

if your gonna clean it get some GUNK engine degreaser to start with

Yea ha ha! The only "noise" I hear is when the clutch isn't engaged but as soon I even rest my foot on the clutch pedal the " chirp" stops!

sounds like the throw out bearing on the clutch assembly.. and GUNK or Simple Green will clean that bay up..

Thanks! Do I have to pull the transmission to get to that bearing?

yes, it is the part that disengages the clutch, it rides on the input shaft.

Well crap! I was hoping to do all the work myself but I don't have the know how to pull a transmission out.

Take the shifter off, drop the driveshaft, upbolt the trans from the motor (I think its like eight bolts and you need at least a 6in extension and swivel the get to the top) and have somebody help you pull it out. Its not that hard as long as you have some help

They didn't mention that a floor Jack would be a good idea
