motor question..

What's the difference, motor wise, between 03 mach 1 and 03 cobra, besides the eaton blower?

I think almost everything is different, but the the main difference is the supercharger. The cobra motors are hand built also.

that's no good, was hoping i could pick up a mach 1 instead of a cobra and put my own supercharger on, save some money since i would replace the cobra's eaton anyway

yeah mach 1 is missing the forged internals and iron block to take all the wonderful boost.

Has more to do with the internals than the block. Seen many aluminum blocks handle 700+hp.

Stock Machs can handle ~8-10psi of boost before they go . . boom! That puts them into the 415-450hp. It really all depends on the tune, but at some point without forged internals the motor will let go.

5-speed Machs do have forged cranks (same as Terminator) but have powdered coated metal rods and hyper pistons. (Auto Machs have cast crank 6-bolt.)

Machs have 10:1 Compression and Terminators have 8:5:1.

Same Cams/Heads/Radiators

Terminators are built for boost. Mach is a good candidate for spray.
