Matt's 1996 Cobra
#46
Getting back to modifying the car. My friend is parting his highly modified '96 Cobra and I'm scoring a whole bunch of parts.
Round 1: Fluidyne time! Many people know that the '96 Cobra and GT cooling systems suck. Ford decided to use cooling parts designed for a 5.0 OHV on a 4.6 OHC that runs hotter, nice move. My car was originally from Virginia so the TSB issued for the cooling system couldn't be installed. On to the next best thing!
Out with the pint size stock one
In with the manly Fluidyne
Did it help? Before when I used the A/C on my drive home, my temp gauge would hit the L in NORMAL. Now it stays at the O in 97 degree weather. *****in'.

Picked up black leather front seats this past week from my friend. I'll have pics up soon. The swap will be on hold for the next month while I move to Florida next week and get a new job. Time for a change of scenery. Oh yeah, I'm driving the Cobra cross country too

Dang, way to go on the move! I was going to call you this weekend and see if you could help with this stupid spindle that's stuck to my ball joint. Care to make it a round trip?

Not much going on lately. Mod money has been redirected to the "We need a family car" fund since we sold our Explorer to fund the move. We're hoping to be in our new to us Navigator this week. 1st bearing to be tackled is the left front. The rears will be handled during a rear end rebuild in the future. Oh yeah, I just found out the parts department at my work has an account with Steeda!

Update:
Here's where the interior stands:
The peanut butter is almost gone, just need to source a black dash and center console. The dash I'm waiting for one to pop up on Craigslist, center console I'm looking specifically for a '98 one for the cup holder design. Carpet is gonna be new and I'll be ordering it soon.
As of last week, I'm the proud owner of 2 4 valve vehicles. We picked up a 2005 Lincoln Aviator through my work
100k miles, great shape, grey leather with the 2nd row being Captains chairs. Mods will be simple, tint is a must especially living in Florida. We're doing 5% all around. HIDs for the lights up front, swapping in the factory Lincoln navigation and painting the grille body color when the chrome peels (it's starting to bubble)
