today i pulled out my single din mach cd player and was wondering if after i put the pocket in if i could put some l.e.d.'s inside of it and wire it to the light power for the old cd player, just wondering if its possible and what wires are which. thanks

 

wow.. umm without having a wiring diagram in front of me I couldnt tell you which one it was. I've got a haynes manual at home, but i'll have to dig it out of the work shop. Not sure when I'll have time. Best bet is to go to autozone and pick up one.

You also have a switched 12v source from the convertible top harness located in the center console. Even though your car is a coupe, FOMOCO put the harness in all cars regardless of body style. You will have to pull the center section of the console out and its under there. You could run the lights power from there and they will only come on when the switch is in run or AUX positions.

 

I take it that harness also supplies the cig lighter by the handbrake?

No it doesnt supply the cig lighter has its own harness. This is strictly for convertible switches.
