looking to buy a 99-04 mustang gt

I am looking to buy a 1999-2004 mustang gt in the next couple months and just was wandering what I should look for when trying to purchase one. what is a good price for one with decent miles. I am looking to supercharge after I get the car. should I look for one already supercharged or should I just get a n/a and supercharge it myself.

Do yourself a favor and get a Cobra or Mach 1. Much better starting point for hardly any more money.

^^ yeah I agree. Although I loved the 2v, the mach 1 or cobras are the way to go if you want to mod it. I highly highly recommend you get a stock one even better if its from an original owner. Make sure you rev it up good to make sure the tranny shifts decent and engine feels smooth with no lag. Check the oil, make sure it doesn't look milky or look too dirty. Make sure doesn't leak oil and check all fluids. Rev it up make sure doesnt smoke out the back, and that engine sounds uniform as it revs without any unusual noises such as rod knock or pinging. Normally you can tell if its been takin care of by the way it drives. Also if you plan to supercharge I would try to get one between 80-100 k miles. Price will be around 12-16k I believe for the mach 1, gts range from 6-10k, cobras are kinda expensive still.

If you look at any machs check around the crank pulley and make sure the pulley hasn't gone bad and been digging into the timing cover....ask me how I know...on my mach I bought with 6,300 miles on it...😞
