Interesting Problem You Have Probably Never Seen Before.

I have a 2003 Mustang GT with an interesting problem.
last week it started blowing the starter, ABS, and the wiper fuses randomly.
I have traced all the wires and checked them out. checked the back of the fuse box to make sure everything is tight etc.
At one time you could get in the car and turn the key to the accessory position and the car would start.
i changed the starter switch and know it won't start until you turn the key to the start position, however if you put the key in the on position and turn the wiper switch to on the car starts!!!!
When ever you turn the windshield wiper switch on the starter comes on.
What the Hell is going on??

Your wiring is still bad. Something in the column or the harness leading down from it, maybe. Perhaps a chafed wire or two causing the issue. Or a corroded connector causing a ground to chase itself through the harness in the wrong direction. That kind of thing. Maybe even a bad ground somewhere. You'll need to keep on diagnosing or send it somewhere to do that. You'll want to get a wiring diagram for your car, and a multimeter, if not a power probe too, to find out what's going on, and then you can get it fixed. Wiring can cause baldness, as pulling out of hair commences with the inanity of 'WHYYYY.'

Not the answer you want, I know. And I'm not insulting your diagnostics, but if the car's being that whacky, you didn't find it or check it the way that it needs to be checked. Sorry.

I hope that helps, and welcome to the forums!

I agree with @houtex. There has to be a short somewhere. Those are always tough to find. Keep searching, it is there somewhere. One of those "It was in the last place I looked" moments.
