Help me to decide!! 3.73 or 4.10
Well guys i've been reading a lot of this topic, but I’ve not found any convincing arguments due to the variety driving conditions, I have an automatic 2000 GT, and I planning to get the gears first and for the near future SCT tuner and then an Off road x pipe all depending money circumstances.
I DD 28 miles (90% highway) 55 mph average, my principal concern is about gas mileage, so I would like to know in your experience is that a representative increasing in MPG??

The auto has a higher ratio than the manual making the 4.10s a better fit, there will be some compromise with the gear change but imo it isn't horrible. my only worry is if you with 3.73s it just isn't going to give you what you are looking for/expect with a gear change and you will be wanting more gear. 3.73s with the higher ratio auto just fall a little short to make it worth the effort. some may say go 3.90 but at that point just with 4.10s they are that close.
I have the same issue and can't decide. I have plans of adding FI so should I go with 3.73 or 4.10s... The sn95 need a lot of help so I am not sure if 4.10s and a turbo would be too much. I know if it was one of the recent models 3.73 would be ideal but what do you guys think??
