A few weeks ago I was on my way home and the car died acted like it was out fo gas. Tank Was low but not empty I had it towed home and I then Changed the fuel filter and added a couple of gallons of gas It started up and ran fine. She stalled out again today after I drove her for about 1/2 hour and was waiting in line at the emissions test place fo 15 minutes I just had pulled up to the test booth and it died. They pushed me out and I let cool down for 10 minutes and tried to start it and it turned over and ran real rough coughed and died again. I then wait about 20 minutes and it started up and ran fine I then drove it to the Ford dealer and left it there. They called me Back and said they let it run until it died but they were able start it backup. They do not have any answers. Does anyone here have any suggestions?

 

Start checking sensors man. Is it throwing a CEL?

 

No Codes... The service guy called this morning said the fuel pump was bad. very expensive, I sure hope they are not just guessing.

 

How much are they charging? You can get a new walbro 255lph for about 115 and it shouldnt be that bad on the install. Probably a performance shop could install for less than 100.

 

be sure to check all the major ground wires as well.
