OK, so I want to get a set of better flowing headers, problably shortys cuz I dont wanna mess with mil eliminators and different H-pipe and all that jazz... So who sells the best flowing, and what kind of a hassle is it gonna be to change them...doesn't look too easy to get to...

With the stock k-member, it is not an easy task. Once they are on, you will not want to ever take them off again. Its probably easier to drop the k-member.

If you think you can tackle it, go for it, but if you are hesitant, it'd probably be alot less headache taking it to a shop to install.

JBA has always made awesome shorty headers. You will pick up some, but not as much as you would with long tubes. If you are sticking to shorties, you may not benefit much while sticking with teh stock mid-pipe. It'd be worth it to wait and get LT's and catted high flow X or H later down the road.

I think it'd be worth it to wait as well... save up and get the headers and cat-back h-pipe all at once and get a shop to do it. It'll cost alittle more for the shop install but it's worth not almost hurting your car. Tinkering with headers can be a hard thing for someone who isn't patient. (like me! :P)

yeah, i would definitely wait. most people are only getting like 5hp w/ shorty headers and stock cat pipe. i would check some exhaust shops in your area to get a price on install. its not fun doing it yourself. a friend of mine did it in his driveway. he had to put the car on jackstands drop the k member and still had to unbolt the motor mounts and jack up the engine to get enough clearance to get to the passenger side

What about Bassani's mid-length headers?

Has anyone tried them?

Has anyone installed them?

I personally havent installed or been in a car with them, but from what i've seen on various boards, people seem to like them and they are a good middle ground between LT's and shorties. keeps ground clearence better than LT's and makes more power than shorties.
