Gutting catalytic converters
I have a 1996 GT mustang, and I was just wondering if I gutted the two catalytic converters if there would be any bad consequences?

wear a respirator, or at least a dust mask. There is some nasty stuff in there.

I had bassani x-pipe with high flow cats and i just cut the cats off and welded new piping in place, no issues !!!
