Unhappy Going away.

I have to leave my stang for a month!!!!
I am returning back to England for my yearly visit and wish I could take my car with me. Instead I have to drive round in an OLD Renault Espace. The engine had to be replaced a year ago and the power steering has just gone on it. 0-60 in ermmm I think I can get it up to 60mph. This is going to be a sad sad time.
I have decided to leave my stang in the hands of my father in law. My mother in law told him about a month ago that she wanted a new Mustang GT. He is the only person other than me who has driven the car since I got it. He came back from his drive to inform me he "Destroyed a Spider!" and then proceeded to lay rubber down his driveway. For the record he keeps his driveway immaculate.
Since I installed my Stingers he has placed an exhaust on his F150 and so did the guy across the street from him.
At least I know my car will come back clean because he will be washing it almost every other day and knowing him it will have new brakes and an oil change!
Just wish I could take the car along and open it up on the streets of Bolton and show them how a car should look and sound.

That bites man...and just after you had Doug make her stronger!

Well, at least she'll be in good hands, you know? Someone that will appreciate her for what she is.

Good luck on the trip, be safe and make sure you don't take any liquids on the plane!

Yep, get the extra bit of fun from the engine and then I got to go.
No liquids will be going with me at all. Can you believe I actually fly into London on 9/11? I need to have a serious sit down with my mother and wife about there booking arrangements.

Hope you have a good time there even without the car. Take the XCal and maybe you can plug it into the Renault.
Are you from England? If so, have fun. I have family in England, but Ive never been there.

X-Cal on a Renault. Its French.

In response to the question, yes I am English. Been living here for the last 3 years. Wife is American. Internet dating has a lot to answer for.
Thought I was safe 4000 miles away.

LMAO....That's how I met my wife too...the internet just makes it easier for them to track us down...lol

They booked your flight on 9/11? And they were thinking what? Or just not thinking? lol

Ahhh, you'll be fine, just don't get thirsty or you might be in for an uncomfortable experience at the airport...lol

If you were leaving out of Philadelphia International, they just might take you up on that!

Hey, welcome back! Sounds like it's time for someone to go burn up a tank or two of 93 octane!

Yep already done that. Spent on average around 9 hours a day driving to and from places over there. That is an average some days were 16hrs. Old POS people carrier with a 1.6l diesel engine. Doesnt like going into gear no power and the pain whilst driving, foot at 90 degree angle for acc pedal and having to turn foot on side to brake. I am not a small guy, 6'3" 325lb 14W feet and that car is just nasty to drive.
Got back in the stang and within the first mile I was shouting out to myself "I FORGOT, I FORGOT!" as I was already at the end of my street.
