Engine Swap Recommendations

Aloha, looking to swap out my 3.8 for a 5.0 in my 94 Convert. Base. Any suggestions/recommendations? I usually play around with Mitsubishi Eclipse 4G63s but I recently got a Mustang and want to start building one. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Great idea but I suggest get a coyote 5.0 engine or a 2011-2014 engine which pushes around 412 horses

The 5.0's fit (there's a thread in the vendor section here), but they can be a lot of work. If you mean the older 5.0's that's a good idea, and even the 4.6's can be had for a reasonable price.

All he/she would be doing then is wasting money.

Have to agree, unless you get lucky and find one in salvage you are looking at $6500 for the engine and another 1500-1600 for the control module. I would look for a nice used gt or cobra vert

A pushrod 5.0 would be easiest and cheapest V8 swap as the 94-95 cars had them. There is plenty info out there if you google it. That said, even easier would be selling the sixer and buying a GT or GTS.
