Drilling hood?
OK, I'm thinking about buying a hood scoop to add to my V6 to help with appearance, but I'm a little nervous about drilling into the hood. Does anyone have experience with this? Do I need any special tools? What do I have to be careful with as to not damage the hood?
Don't try to rush it, measure everything out and use tape to create the lines and use a sharpie to dot where the hole will be for when u drill. Make sure to measure 2-3 times and remeasure and recheck EVERYTHING right before drilling to ensure it comes out good. Idk if theirs something special you should do so that the paint doesnt flake or peel (if thats an issue) I actually think you'd be better off finding a hood off of a wrecked GT thats already painted your color. anyways, Good Luck!
Thanks Fordracing200. I hadn't thought of that. I'll do a search and see if I can find a black GT hood first.....then if I don't have any luck I make sure to take the due dilligence when preparing to drill. The paint issue is one I was concerned about.
I know the same feeling as adding a hood scoop was one of my original plans.

Thanks Mestizo....unfortunately, I'm struggling to find either a hood or the scoop w/the 2 hole application. Seems the only ones I can find are the 11 hole version. That's a lot of drilling.
