Doea the exhaust tip make a difference?
Doea the exhaust tip make a difference?
Other than visual?
The only reason I ask is because there is a Mac catback with 2.5 mandrel bent tubing and 3" exhaaut tip, but the same one with 3.5" tips is 50 dollars more..

If the tubing size and muffler style is the same on two systems, and the only difference is the tip, I say the sound will be about the only difference. A larger tip should provide a bit of an echo chamber, normally giving a deeper tone. The real amount of echo will depend on the tip length also. Longer tip equals deeper tone.
