Chris' 2003 Cobra
Hopefully going to get to the drag strip again Friday. My friend is going to let me use his rear tires, they are ultra high performance ones, should work much better than my all seasons. Hoping for a low 12(better then 12.5).
Car is ready for the track tomorrow.
My friends wheels are mounted up, they arent drag radials but should hook up better than my all seasons. They are Michellin Pilot Sport Cup tires. They are a bit shorter so it will be like my car has a shorter gearing as well.
He has gotten 1.8 60ft out of these on his car, best i have done on my tires are 2.1.
Pics.

Tires hooked better than my regular ones but still had a lot of traction issues. The tires are a bit dried out and worn down so they had very slim margin of grip or not.
Was really hoping for a bit more but still happy with a new best time.
60' 1.974

made 9 passes, one 12.6, two 12.7's. two 12.8's, 3 12.9's and one 13.6.

I was not too happy about my mph at the track so I decided to do some data logging to see if I could see anything. I have never data logged before so I am a newbie at it but it appears my car is maxing out its fuel pumps.
Every car is different and I always hear a lot of guys not having issues until they port their blower but I guess my system is on the weak side of them. Its weird, sometimes it maxes at 5400rpm other times it showed around 98% at 6000rpm. Still too high but not maxed out.
Gotta figure out whats going on and then have it dyno tuned to make sure everything is working out.

Most guys switch to dual svt focus pumps(217 lph each)or dual ford gt pumps(287 lph each).
Obviously Ford GT are overkill but maybe switch to Focus pumps.

That's weird. I didn't know that Cobras had different inserts in their side scoops.

My wife just got a new camera, Nikon D5100. Trying out the video mode. Will need to take some nice shots of my car, but probably won't happen until spring.
