How would I know if my new car (yesterday) is chipped?

 

I guess to answer your question with a question.....huh?

I guess if you're talking about performance chips....it should be on the passenger side kick panel.

 

If the computer has been reflashed, one way to find out is to have it dyno tuned, they could tell you if it was stock or flashed.

 

Well if its got a phsyical chip in it, you can easily tell if you pull the passenger side kick panel off, then undo the wiring harness's, then pull the ECU out from behing the black bracket. Its tricky the first time, but no big deal. On the top of the ecu is a port where a chip would be hooked to. If its got something sticking out of that port, its got a chip, if it has a plastic plug over the port hole, then it doesnt. If you can pull the plug off the hole and look in and see the connector, then it doesnt have a chip.

The other way as Matt mentioned is it may be reflashed. Its not easy to tell on this, but you may can take it to a mustang shop and see if they can pull a reading off it or something. An Autotap may also let you know.
