Caster Camber plate suggestions? Bushings - Poly or Rubber?

I've got a 99 GT that I put some cheaper Caster/Camber plates on years ago, and they've been nothing but trouble. They are loud...and the spherical ball loosens up and clunks like crazy. So, I want to replace them with something better that will be quiet. Any suggestions?

Also, I'll be replacing the struts and shocks with Bilsteins, but thought I may as well replace some of the suspension bushings. Has anyone had experience with replacing the bushings with some poly bushings, or did you stick with OE type rubber? I don't want it to be too rough of a drive as it's my wife's daily driver.

Look at maximum motorsports CC. They work well with Bilsteins. Saleen uses them with that set up. Poly of course.

Hey,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with your caster camber plates, I'm sure its frustrating to say the least.

As mentioned before Maximum Motorsports makes the highest quality kit on the market, in my opinion. Very rarely to we ever get a return or hear a complaint when someone puts them on.

J and M also makes a nice set as well, I had these on my 04 and never had any issues. They are a little cheaper and than the Maximum Motorsports plates, but still a high quality piece.

As far as bushings go, poly is the way to go. I would replace the rubber ones with them, and not worry about it for a very long time.

I hope these suggestions help with your decision making process, and if you have any questions feel free to be back in touch. Best of luck!

Agreed with the CC plates. As far as poly vs rubber bushings, the poly ones would last way more than rubber ones, but the ridr will be a bit harsher and noisy. If you go with rubber ones, OEM or Moog (U.S. made, they also have Taiwan) are the way to go. And while you're at it, new ball joints will be a good idea since the control arms will be out of the car.

The ONLY C-C plates that should reside on ANY Mustang are the ones made by Maximum Motorsports.
There are so many reasons. Highest quality. USA Made. BEST instructions EVER WRITTEN by ANY COMPANY EVER. Great support. Race experience. Race tested. I could go on and on. I race nothing but Maximum Motorsports suspension on my Mustangs.
And no I don't work for them. But I have raced with their parts on my cars for ten years.

I have an extra set of MM plates that are brand new, still in the MM box that I bought them in. I sold the car so I have no need for them. Asking $150 shipped...
