Sounds like David, StangMahn, here. Only he's gotta be taller and not as heavy and drives a 2004 GT.

I thought you might reference me!

I'm 6'4 - 6'5 and in the mid 3's. I don't have a ton of extra room, but it fits me well, and having been in a major front end collision, I didn't hit the dash with my knees or anything. I have the seat all the way back (naturally) and the seat back leaning a bit (I like a bit more of the F1 reclined driving posture over upright). I'm not sure I can wear a helmet with the stock seat, but I like it.

Go try one out, they're pretty easy to find examples of.

There's definitely room, just not in the backseat

I have a friend that's 6'0 around 240lbs and thinks my mustang is too small for him to get into.

I'm 6' and have been as much as 288 and never had a problem fitting in any of my mustangs.

Thankfully I'm down to 267 now

I know it's an old thread, but I'm sure there are still people curious about this. I'm 6'2" 360 and I fit just fine in my '99 convertible. Even the seatbelt has room to spare.
