Best iPod Solution for Mach Soundsytem owners

I already have an iPod adapter that plays the music over a radio frequency. I hate it. What is the easiest solution for a direct connect to my sound system?

I went to best buy to purchase an iPod ready head unit, they told me I would have to change nearly the entire sound system to make it work. This was aparently due to the MACH soundsystem being a beast to work around.

I am going to purchase the device linked below at some point.

Though I wish I knew someone who had it locally, so I could ask how they like it. There are a couple guys on the mach1registry.com who have purchased the unit and they seem to like the device.

Just buy a FM Transmitter. It's cheaper and easier.

If you have the Mach 460 system, then this is FALSE information. You CAN replace the headunit. It just requires you to wire in an amplifier integration adapter (this will keep the head unit from blasting the speakers, even at low radio volumes) and a 12V to 5V converter (this will keep your speakers from popping when the radio is switched on)

What FM Transmitter do you have? Best one is the Monster brand from Radioshack that charges your iPod as you play it. It's better than cassett quality.

I have one from Griffin. Basically, it sucks. No matter which frequency I choose, or what song I play The audio is substandard.

Here is the specific model I have

That's your problem. Griffin only makes crap. Period.

Buy a Monster and your problem will be solved. Then if you're still not happy, return it.
