hmm well lets see, i got a question! hehe

well i was visiting my mechanic today for oil change and all, and he told me insted of installing the K&N filter u should use the stock one drill a 2.5 hole and put hose a from the stock air intake to the back of the front griil, is this true? or that with the CAI that i already have install, i should sorunded the arm with heat resistant material so the air that goes to the manifold doesnt get heated with the heat comming from the engine..
just some questions!!
thanxs in advance!

I am not sure it is a good idea to drill the intake, I can see where the idea comes from, i.e you get the forward motion of the car pushing are into the filter. But I believe that the performance gains are extremely minimal, especially as the air would still have to go through the stock cardboard filter. As for lagging the pipe, again, I can see the point, but I do not know if it would give any noticable performance improvement.
