i recently installed a new HU with my existing mach 460 system and whenever i turn it on i hear a popping sound and was wondering if there was anything i could do about that annoying reoccuring noise. thanks.

 

i have that on occasion in my 1995 gt w/sony hu and it is quite loud, i just ignore it

 

Yeah you can ignore it, but also some companies make a line supressor that you may want to look into. I know some have called crutchfield.com and explained what is going on and they can tell you exactly what you need.

 

Yes, I had the same issue on my stang previous to this. I can't remember the exact part, but I just went to a Car specific Stereo store, knew exactly what I needed and sold to me for a few bucks. No issues after that.
