Just bought a 95 v6 stang ran great till gas went down found rust in tank replaced fuel tank pump sending unit flushed fuel lines and power washed motor now it's idling at2500rpms did I mess something up when I power washed it help ???? Do I need to get new tps iac or new sensor in air filter or do in need to clean something please grip I love my stangs

 

I fried my car's tps one time washing the engine and it idled pretty high and messed up the transmission shifting too. It was $40 here in Autozone, so it's a cheap try if the cat doesn't show a CEL (like mine).

 

Check for vaccum leaks. Then go for the I.A.C valve. Same thing happaned to my dads 5.0.
