i have an 04 v6 3.8L mustang and im also looking into a dual exhaust... there are 2 kinds of dual, true dual(each muffler comes off its own side of the engine-h pipe) and a y pipe configuration in which both cats empty into the same spot its condensed into one pipe then opens back up into 2 mufflers...
from what i have heard true dual sounds much better but it requires the h-pipe in which in most cases needs to be welded on... there are many places that do sell the cat back y-pipe style as kits and those are also more than i can afford, but im only 18

there are a bunch more but those should prove helpful for now...btw 1st post

well my friend used to own a 2000 v6 and he had the MAC dual exhaust. never figured out whether it was the true dual or not...but it did sound pretty good. not quite as deep as a gt does but it was really good for a v6.
just make sure you dont get an exhaust with too big of a diameter...if you do you could end up losing a few hp instead of gaining
