2004 Door Locks and Mirrors

So I'm standing up with my buddy, taking a few pictures of our cars (he has a 99 GT) and my girlfriend says, "Why isnt your car locking.?" So I'm like what the heck.? I hit the lock on my fob and it locks. I unlock it and it unlocks. I walk up to the car and hit the locks on the inside of the door. Didnt work. Then I started the car and tried. Still nothing. I tried the windows, they work. I tried the power mirrors, and they dont work either. I am really confused because it literally just stopped working out of no where. Any ideas.?

Check the under dash fuse panel for a blown 5 amp fuse

I just looked under the dash at the fuse panel.
No blown 5 amp fuses. Let me give a quick run down of the symptoms.
The only lights that work in my car currently are the miles, warning lights
(i.e. ABS, CEL, TRACTION, BATTERY, etc. When I turn the key to the on Position.)
The only lights that work are the map lights, and the headlights. My fogs dont turn on now. My Tun signals/brake lights work, but only when the brakes are applied and or the turn signals are flashing. They don't come on when the headlights are pulled on. Which also means my park lights don't work. You can check my mod list, not much done to it. I just am really confused because everything was working fine up until my girlfriend said something about the locks, which was like 10 minutes prior to when she told me. My door locks and power mirrors went first, then everything else i mentioned happened. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the GEM module under the dash is either not getting power, or is fried. The GEM module is no longer produced by Ford, and is no longer stocked in their parts. You'll need to take the car by a dealership and get them to plug their computer up to it, to check communication to the GEM. If it is bad you'll have to prowl through a salvage yard to find one.

Well I found a fuse box diagram, made a list of the potential blown fuses,
and then went a pulled each one. I found a blown 15 amp fuse that controls
parklamps, master window/doorlocks switch, exterior mirrors, etc. I'm hoping that is what is causing it.

So I found out it was a direct short because a wire was pinched between a bolt and the nut which was tightened. Melted the insulation. The problem now is that the park lights will not come on if I pull my headlight switch out. BUT, they will come on if I lock the car and honk the horn, and or hit the panic button. Is it a problem in the switch.? Or else where.?
