Red face 1995 SVT HARDTOPCONVERTIBLE

My uncle has a 1995 Black SVT Cobra hard top convertible with 82K miles that he is thinking about selling. I was wondering what the value of the car is and where the best place to advertise might be? Any help is greatly appreciated. I am not sure if I am even posting in the area so any advise is welcome. Thanks

Those cars are really rare. Post it on the "for sale" section w some pix and ask for offers. Also check on Kelley Blue Book for it's value.

Yeah it's not a car to sell. But if he really wants to sell it I would not be surprised if he could get 10K or more depending on the condition.

I am not an expert per-se, but close (here is a link to mine: https://themustangsource.com/showthread.php?t=477170 ). I paid under $15k for that one with all the docs (including original bill of sale) and all the accessories. Mine also only has 21k on the odometer and is in near-perfect condition.

These cars are rare, hard to find, and one that few know about. Many people I talk to say - What? When did they make that? Never heard of it! That being said, the price is what the market will bear - and also what they have with the car. Also, you need to find someone who knows what the car is and can appreciate it as well.

The more docs on the car, the better. The more accessories that came with the car, the better. If he is missing anything major (say the stand, top cover, tonneau, video, etc), that will hurt the value. If he has that stuff, it will help the value as well.

There is one down in the Atlanta area for $12500 with 57k on the odometer, there is another for $11k in Cleveland with 27k on the odometer (but that one is really only worth about 7k as it is missing pieces (stand, covers, etc) and has seen better days), there was one in upstate NY that was selling for $14k last year with 40k on it, there are a few more out there if you search Craigslist.

To be honest, we would need pics of your uncle's car with the credentials to figure out a price. My best guess - perhaps about $10-12k depending on the accessories.

Those are just my initial thoughts on the car - but should be close to reality I think.

Thanks guys

My uncle bought the car new and knowing him he has all the paperwork and accessories, he keeps everything immaculate, so when he gets me some pics I will try to get them up.

We were lucky enough to sell one of these brand new back in 1995 at the Ford dealership I work for before Ford stopped production abruptly after building just a few hundred of them. Typical used 95 SVT Cobras sell in the $6K to $9K range, and I would personally expect a hardtop convertible to bring a 50% premium over that.
