17's or 18's? FR500 Reps
Right now I have a good drop on my Stang. I believe it's 2 inches if not more. I can only get 2 fingers between the fender and tire tread.
I'm considering upping the Stang with some Ford Racing Spring the "C" rate or whatever. If not those then a more reliable company that'll raise the ride at least an inch.
Later I have plans on running a catted H/X-pipe, either Bassani, MRT, or Magnaflows(of course those can change with a few sound clips
).
My question is: I'm getting a real good deal on some FR500 replicas. I'm still not sure whether to go with 17's or 18's. Either 17X9s and 17X10.5 or 18X9 and 18X10s. I'm leaning towards anthracite...but there's still some time if I still want chrome, silver, or black. Right, color has nothing to do with my question....sorry back to topic.
Right now I have 17's and there is a slight scrape with the aftermarket exhaust(generic brand).......I plan on replacing that too.
But I'm trying to think ahead, I want to be able to run an H/X pipe and to be able to go over speed bumps. However I don't want to kill my quick take-offs, or the tires to be rubbing against the walls.
I've heard the Bassani catted X's sound awesome, but hang low. I heard the Magnaflow catted X's ride a little higher. Not sure about the MRT.
Any advice? The rim deal is going down within the next week, so thanks in advance.

Guess I shouldn't be stingy either(more details on the group purchase):

I have Vogtland Springs and 18x9 with 265/35/18 and Borla Stinger Cat-back and I have no issue what-so-ever.
Now the Vogtlands do not have as big of drop as some would want (~1" up front and 3/4" in rear for a Mach and ~1.25-1.45 front and ~1" rear on GT), but as I continue to upgrade my suspension (adjustable MM LCA, Bilstien Shocks/Struts, 4 bolt CC plates, wleded subframes) I think the springs will show their true colors for all around versatility
I also plan on getting some Long Tubes in the future as well.

i'm not a fan of the bassani xpipe w/ stock mufflers, it is not throaty enough for my taste and it kinda sounds cheap, just my opinion

I still plan on a straight Bassani combo, or Borla Stingers with a Bassani X & Headers.
Its hard to say which hangs the lowest. It all depends on how good hte installer is IMO. The magnaflow pipe's ive installed arent bad at all. Havent had much experience with the bassani though.
