Wiring for XM Radio
#1
I am installing a Roady2 XM radio and would like to be able to hook it to a power source that operates like the factory radio where it stays on for a period of time after the key is shut off or until you open the door. Has anyone done this yet?

I did this for my auto-dimming rearview mirror. If you check your owner's manual there's a fuse in the passeger side kick panel fuse box for "accessory delay" or something similar. Tapping that circuit will get you the "delayed off" power.

What are you using to hard wire the Roadie 2 and are you doing it yourself? I just got the receiver and will hopefully be getting the Stang soon. Let me know how it goes.

I bought a power outlet from Radio Shack and then wired it into fuse location #6 in the passenger kick panel.

Does anyone know which color wire to tap into to get the radio power from fuse 6?

How did you wire it into the fuse location? I bought a mini-fuse tap but it is too large to fit into molded opening for the fuse prong.
