I am not a stereo install expert so I need some help. Does anyone know if the wiring harness for the Shaker include a wire for a power antenna coming out the back of the unit? If I remember, normally that wire is blue but I could be completely wrong. Thanks!

The drawing I have from Delphi does not show a power antenna connection.

Thanks guys. Just thinking out loud. I like power antennas, gives the car a cleaner look in my opinion. Plus I had an antenna snapped off in the past on another car. There are some space problems under the fender but I think that is do-able. But without the power link from the radio to control it, looks like it ain't happening.

You could probably tap into the amp turn on signal. The only down side is that the antenna is ALWAYS up if the stereo is on, vs only coming up with the tuner is selected.

Roamer,

I agree. Yet another feature not supported by the Shaker 500. Still, your solution would get rid of the antenna when the stereo is off and when the car is not running so that is a partial solution. The only other alternative is to run a seperate switch to operate the antenna and that isn't gonna cut it.

Anyone know what is under that big ugly antenna base? Would you have to use that base with a power antenna or could it be removed and use a much smaller standard type base?
