Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has found a wiring harness for the Shaker 500 system yet? I want to start installing my aftermarket system but no one seems to have the harness for it.

Thanks

Well for those of you wondering, I spoke to a Metra rep and he said their kits should be shipping in 2 weeks.

The wiring harness part # is 70-5521
The mounting kit part # is 99-5807

Not sure if Shoche has these kits out yet or not.

The FD23B kit from Scoshe will not work with factory 8" subs. I spole to a Scoshe rep about this. They thr said harness for the Shaker systems will come out shortly.

Wow, what a timely post!!

I just went to my local Circuit City where I was planning on buying a different head unit so that I could use my XM Radio. Unfortunately, they told me that if I wanted to go with a different unit, I'd end up loosing my subs.

Something to do with the wiring or some crap like that. Guess the shaker's have an odd wiring scheme or something

Anyhow, thanks for the post!

I also found this site, but it didn't look like they had any harnesses..

The Metra parts were used on my car. At the time (about a month back) the parts were only being sold in FL though. I had my sound shop order the parts directly from Metra. The mounting kit is the same one used for the new Ford F-150.

I couldn't find them listed on Metra's page either. I had to call Metra and verify with one of the sales people. I believe the wiring harness is listed for late model Lincolns as well as Ford and Mercury. Most places in Los Angeles, CA didn't have them so I had to have my shop order them. Well.. actually, they had the mounting kit and main wiring harness for the radio but they didn't have the harness for the amps (shaker system). The harness for the factory amps will be the most difficult to find because the mounting kit and main harness is the same ones used for the '04 F-150.
