Until someone comes up with an adapter for direct connect, I'm going to have to break down and go FM mod in my GT. The adapter may never happen, but hey, even FM modulated XM is better than none.

Only place that seems reasonable is on the overhead housing for the interior lights. I'd rather not have to reach up there to surf channels, but there doesn't seem to be a suitable place on the dash or console. Has any else installed an XM receiver on their '05?

I'm running an XM Commander in my '04 F-150. It's mounted in the ashtray and works out great.

Any suggestions? I'm having XM withdrawals and need a fix........

I mounted my Roady2 on the front lip of that overhead behind the two map lights. It actually worked out really well. I cut the stock auto adapter and spliced about a 8 foot piece of wire into it. This allowed me to run the cable under the headliner, behind the side moulding, and over to the outlet in the dash. They make hard-wire kits that I'll likely invest in but most of these kits provide 5 foot sections for the cables which just won't be long enough to allow me to hide the DC-DC power supply behind the glove box or in the passenger side kick panel near the fuse box.
